Welcome to Teaching American Studies.

Hello, my name is Elena Marx and I am a sixth year doctoral student in the History of American Civilization here at Harvard University. I also work for the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning as a Departmental Teaching Fellow – my job is to provide support for other graduate student teachers in my department. This blog is my effort to do precisely this: it’s a forum for communication about teaching in AmCiv. I’ll post best practice tips, stories, workshops announcements, lesson plans, mid-term evaluations, links to Harvard resources, etc. so check back often! Also, if there is anything in particular you’d like me to find out about or address here, just email me at marx@fas.harvard.edu
